3-D Sculptural Paintings.  Each piece is hand-sculpted with a thick modeling paste on canvas that dries as hard as ceramic. After painted to perfection, they're thickly coated with a polyurethane finish.  They have the look of ceramics or stone and have an extreme relief off the canvas which ranges anywhere from 1/8" to 1" high.  The design continues around the sides of the "gallery wrap" 1  1/2" deep canvas, so there is no need for framing.  (see pictures in the Portfolio titled "3-D Sculptural Paintings" for examples.) 

Being moisture resistant, the 3-D paintings are perfect for the bathroom, kitchen or even an outdoor covered patio (in milder climates).  Many of the pieces have little bugs in them!  Perhaps it's a ladybug and a butterfly, or a dragonfly and a bumblebee.

•  What is Giclee?   From the French verb "to spray", the word Giclee (zhee-clay) is used to describe a digital fine art printmaking process. Giclee prints are created using a high-resolution inkjet printer.  Paintings are carefully scanned and reproduced using the highest quality archival inks. Canvas is individually mounted onto a drum which rotates during printing. As the drum spins a fine stream of ink droplets spray onto the chosen archival surface. State-of-the-art equipment and the expertise of a professional, allows me to go to the printing facility and give the final approval for the print.  Image permanence of the print  gives fade & color shift resistance of better than 200 years, with a UV coating which is applied to the surface. 

•  Would you like your Giclee Print Enhanced?  For an additional $150, I will add my personal touch of oil paint throughout the painting, making it look and feel just like the original.
